After two long weeks, I received the results from my hair mineral test. Finally, finally, something that shows how I am feeling. Adrenal fatigue, thyroid issues, as well as numerous mineral imbalances. I was so excited… until I saw the diet I have to follow to fix it!! Think lean meat (but no pork), veggies (no tomatoes, potatoes or peppers), few carbs (brown rice and quinoa) no sugar or fruit. And water to drink. Yay 🙂 I started today, it hasn’t been fun but I will do ANYTHING at this point to make myself feel better.
Unfortunately I have only two weeks until I’m meant to be doing a 10km run with my family. My dad will go ballistic if I pull out (I know, messed up right?) so it’s going to be a long walk for me!
The protocol to fix my adrenals also includes daily meditation and self reflexology. I’m thinking those will probably help me more than anything else. Stress is one of the biggest factors in my health, so anything that helps me there is great.
It has been an excruciatingly hard time in my life. It’s not like I haven’t been ill before… I’ve suffered from this chronic illness for most of the past 13 years. It’s just that I’ve never had to do it alone before. No matter what lies he told, how many times he cheated on me or let me down, my ex always looked after me when I was sick. He made sure I didn’t have to work for a few months, did a lot of the housework and understood when I spent most of my days in bed. God, how I miss him. It’s so hard to do this alone
